Deep Creek-Damascus K-8
February 2020
This winter break, construction crews completed the renovations to Deep-Creek Damascus. The school has four new classrooms, has officially transitioned into a K-8 configuration, and has a handful of safety and security improvements throughout the building.
Construction Update – July 2019
Construction on the Deep Creek Campus is well on schedule with an anticipated completion date in time for students to arrive this fall. Four new classrooms will be added to the campus, including one multipurpose science classroom. The exterior of the building extension is fully complete; roofing is almost complete and construction crews will be finishing the interior over the next month. Drywalling is largely complete and crews are working on flooring, polishing concrete in the hallways, and installing new carpet in offices and music rooms. The building is also receiving additional locker rooms and lockers for middle grade students throughout the school.

The bond will fund the following improvements to the school:
Expansion of K-5 building to accommodate Middle School students, including changing areas, 4 general classrooms, and a multi-purpose room for science
Upgrades to heating and cooling systems, roof, and other needed building repairs
Internally locking door hardware at all classrooms
Secure front entry and office modifications
Updated furnishings and equipment for classrooms
New low voltage systems (intercoms, fire alarms, cameras, and emergency power)
Technology upgrades and wireless infrastructure in all classrooms
New playground equipment and surfacing
