This spring, Gresham-Barlow School District held groundbreaking ceremonies for the new construction underway at Gresham High and East Gresham Elementary. Join us on April 25 for the groundbreaking ceremony at North Gresham Elementary and on June 6 for the groundbreaking for Barlow High.
Security summit highlights district commitment to student safety
Gresham Barlow School District invited Gresham’s first responders to review their plans for student safety. In addition to the four large bond projects, the school bond allocates $13 million for new safety projects districtwide.
Middle school teachers help shape tomorrow’s classrooms
Gresham-Barlow School District is purchasing new classroom furniture to improve middle school classrooms for better educational outcomes. New tables, desks, chairs, and bookcases will be purchased for all four middle schools.
The new Gresham High School will have technology unthinkable to previous generations. However, the new building will also contain historic elements from its past. Thanks to a former art teacher, the new building will feature an iconic set of hand-wrought iron doors first installed over 80 years ago.
Local businesses thrive with Gresham-Barlow’s investment in schools
The District’s effort to invest in local businesses was recently recognized by the Gresham Chamber of Commerce. Gresham-Barlow received the 2017 “Try Local First Champion Award” for their commitment to supporting local businesses.
